Ford Test Track Installation: -------------------------------------------------------- - Unzip into your Nascar3\Tracks\ directory - Open the ALL.CAL file (located in the Nascar3 directory) and add the following line: ## 12 31 0 0 FORDTEST TEP_100 TEP_100 25 event1.tga biglogo1.tga - To uninstall, delete the fordtest directory NOTE - For more information on CAL file editing, go to http://simracingconnection.virtualave.net/nascar/cal.html Intro: -------------------------------------------------------- - This track was meant to allow the player to TEST in a drafting scenerio. It was not meant as a single or multi player track. - Ford and Jaguar use a 4-mile circular track to test the top-speed of proto-type cars. There are no pictures of this track, only what was briefly shown on a Discovery Channel special on the Jaguar XJ220 (the 220 in the name meaning the top-speed in mph). http://www.xj220central.com/ for more information on the car. - The track was created for drafting testing and a further understanding of what it takes to go that little-bit faster at top-speeds. Track's best use: -------------------------------------------------------- - Add your favorite Talladega/Daytona setup to the Fordtest track directory and select it when first entering the track. Select a 100% race distance with no cautions and no pace lap. Go directly to race. The AI will stutter at start, but pass on the outside to get into the lead pack. By the time the field gets up to speed, you should be in the top-10. At this time, you have 20 laps of drafting practice. Try pulling to the outside to pass, try bump drafting, etc. Enjoy! Warnings: -------------------------------------------------------- - AI will be functional but will not pull out to pass. - Multiplayer testing has not been promising so far. - Software-mode users may see pallete corruption - CAM file not yet completed.
